Employee Spotlight Series: Staci Kouw

Holland Parks & Recreation has the most hardworking, incredible employees and we are excited to shine light on them in our Employee Spotlight Series!

Staci Kouw is a site supervisor, and she has been working with us for a little over a year! We had the pleasure of visiting her before a game to ask her a bit about herself and her job!

Briefly describe your position and what you do with Parks & Recreation.  

Staci: I started out as a scorekeeper for baseball before adding more sports and becoming a supervisor. Supervisors are on site during each game to help set up and maintain safety.

What kinds of recreational activities do you participate in during your spare time?  

Staci: Getting to see people from all walks of life come together to play. From doctors to construction workers, we see so many people come together.

What is your favorite part about your job, and why?  

Staci: I’m not really a sports-playing person, but my favorite sport to watch is baseball!

What is your favorite thing about Holland?  

Staci: I got my degree in travel and tourism, so I love the tourism here in Holland!

Who or what inspires you professionally?  

Staci: The people! I love spending time with the public and the members of our community

What is your favorite memory from working here?  

Staci: The tournaments are always the most memorable. They are so long and so fun!

What is your go-to meal in Holland?  

Staci: Fricano’s Pizza for sure!
