Holland Ice Park Summer

While the weather may not be cold enough for ice skating, there are plenty of warm-weather events to enjoy at the Holland Ice Park. We’ll have fun in the sun at the Ice Park, located adjacent to Window on the Waterfront Park.


Classes

Watercolor Wildlife

Explore how to paint animals of all kinds, from beloved pets to woodland creatures and birds. Students will work on basic watercolor techniques. You’ll learn how to capture personality, movement, and texture (think fur, feathers, and whiskers!) while building confidence with color mixing, layering, and brush control.

Golden Hour Yoga

Wind down your day with sunset yoga at the Holland Ice Park’s stunning amphitheater. Join us for peaceful evening sessions in the warm glow of golden hour light at Window in the Waterfront park. Bring your yoga mat for a calming outdoor class that’ll help you transition from your busy day to a peaceful evening. This class is drop-in only, no need to pre-register.

Kids Concert Series

June through August, grab your little ones and make your way to the Holland Ice Park for an hour-long, kid-focused performance. Your kids will have a blast dancing the hour away with a different act each date. Pack a picnic lunch and make an afternoon of it, enjoying the nearby playground and all the amenities the Holland Ice Park has to offer. All concerts are free to attend and open to all. The Kids’ Concert Series is proudly sponsored by Haworth and supported in part by an award from the Michigan Arts & Cultural Council.

Skate, Blade, & Scoot Thursdays

Come on down to the Holland Ice Park ribbon this summer for Skate, Blade, & Scoot Thursdays. Bring along your roller skates, roller blades, or kick scooters to ride the 700-foot-long roller ribbon. Limited equipment is available for rent on-site as well, and can be checked out for a fee on a first-come, first-served basis. Bikes are not allowed at Skate, Blade, & Scoot Thursdays, with the exception of balance bikes for those working on learning to ride. This is drop-in free time on the ribbon; no instructions are provided.

Velo Kids Wheelhouse Open Hours

Have questions about Velo Kids, or just want a chance for you or your child to borrow a bike and take a ride around Window on the Waterfront? Join us this summer during the Wheelhouse Open Hours for a relaxed, drop-in space where you can ask questions and get helpful hints. This is a casual support session, not a coaching or training program. Whether you’re curious, need quick guidance, or just want to try out a bike, we’re here to help.

Bikes are limited, only available to borrow during Open Hours, and must stay at Window on the Waterfront.

Movies at the Ribbon
