Youth Basketball

Winter 2025-26

Wednesdays or Saturdays, January 7 – February 7, 2026

Little Dribblers is a great opportunity for kids to learn about the sport of basketball and the basic motor skills necessary to play. This is an instructional clinic, not a league. No teams will be formed. This is a parent-child interactive program, so each child is required to have a parent/guardian join them in the program.

Participants will learn and practice a variety of fundamental basketball skills through drills and basketball activities. This is an instructor led program. There is an option to register for both sessions at a lower price.

Boys and girls will play separately. Participants will practice the first three Saturdays and play games the final three Saturdays. Volunteer coaches are needed for this program. Participants will receive a reversible jersey.

2nd Grade Basketball Information

Boys and girls will play separately. Participants will practice up to two times a week and play games on Thursday evenings. Volunteer coaches are needed for this program. Participants will receive a reversible jersey.

Current 3rd & 4th Grade Basketball Information

Holland Recreation teams will compete against other teams from various lakeshore communities on Saturdays. Practices will be during the week determined by the volunteer coach. Volunteer coaches are needed for this program.

Current 7th & 8th Grade Basketball Information

Teams will register at the rate of $40 per game in this format. Jerseys and practices will not be provided. Games will take place in various lakeshore communities on Saturday mornings. There will be six weekends of games including a tournament to end the season. Two divisions are offered for this league. A competitive division and recreation division for teams to compete against similar skilled teams.

Participants will have fun learning the basics of basketball through drills in this instructor led clinic. This clinic will focus on skill development. All experience levels are welcome.

Summer 2026

This is a developmental camp. No experience is necessary for participation. Participants will have fun learning the basics of basketball through fun games and drills.

This 3 on 3 basketball double header league is a fun and unique opportunity to work on your basketball skills. Teams will compete weekly against other local teams. Teams can have up to 5 players on their roster.

The Grand Rapids Gold is a proud affiliate of the NBA team, the Denver Nuggets. The camp is open to boys and girls ages 8-14. Basic skill development and fundamentals will be taught. Camp includes: Gold Academy t-shirt, 4 Gold tickets for the 2026-2027 season and snacks & sports drinks.

Participants will work on skills through drills for the first part of the clinic and then divide into teams to scrimmage for the second part of the clinic each night. This is an instructor led program. The instructors will lead the scrimmages as an official and coach.
