Tickets must be purchased in advance at hollandrecreation.com. Due to capacity limits, open skate tickets and curling sheet reservations can not be purchased at the facility.

No refunds will be offered for open skate or curling sheet reservations, unless Holland Parks & Recreation makes the decision to cancel a session due to weather or facility concerns.

Ticket holders will be notified of a weather cancellation via email and text using the phone number and email address provided when tickets were purchased. All ticket holders will be refunded in full when Holland Parks & Recreation cancels an Open Skate or Curling Sheet reservation.

The Holland Ice Park will have both skate assists and adaptive sleds available for use during Open Skate sessions. Quantities are limited and are available on a first come first serve basis. Feel free to inquire with staff if you need help locating these items.

All skaters 15 and under must be accompanied at the facility by an adult who is 18 or older in order to skate at the Holland Ice Park. Holland Ice Park employees reserve the right to ask for age verification before entering the ice.

When booking, we will ask you to share your shoe size with us and we’ll match that with the correct skate size. Most of our skates match up directly to your shoe size with the exception of some of our smallest child size skates.

We will have skates equivalent to a Toddler 6 and a Men’s 16 shoe available for rent.

We understand winter weather driving conditions prevent some participants from feeling comfortable driving to our location. We suggest you follow weather forecasts and allow ample time to make the trip within your comfort level. Like most winter activities, we do not close or issue refunds for less than ideal weather conditions. If we deem a session must be cancelled due to inclement weather, all ticket holders will be refunded in full.

Curling Reservations

Curling Sheet Reservations can be made for up to 8 individuals. However, only one person needs to complete the registration online for the group. We recommend groups of at least four to allow for quality game play.

It is not. Our curling sheet is a unique, half-size version of a regulation sheet perfect for casual play and group fun. It is not ideal for competitive curlers.

We’ll go over the basics, and then set you loose to give it a try. Ice Park staff will be on standby to provide a brief “how-to” lesson at the start of your reservation. Formal instruction will not be provided.

No, all Curling Sheet Reservations must be made online in advance. Walk-ups will not be available.

When you arrive at the Holland Ice Park please check-in at the admissions window and Ice Park staff will direct you.

Reservations include curling stones, brooms, gripper and sliders for shoes, and reserved space on the curling sheet for 90 minutes.

Holland Ice Park staff will walk guests through the basics of curling before they begin. Instructions typically take about 5 – 10 minutes, and then groups will be set free to try it on their own.

Not at all. In fact, skates are not allowed on the curling sheet. Instead, we recommend wearing flat shoes such as vans or converse to increase the surface area of your shoe connecting with the ice.
