Event details and common questions. Still have questions after reading below? Contact us at rec@cityofholland.com.

Check-in will open at 7:00 AM on Saturday, February 7, 2026. You do not need to arrive at 7:00 AM, but please make sure you are checked-in with plenty of time before race start. The 5K start will not be delayed if there are individuals still checking in. After parking, please head to the center of the 8th Street Marketplace for check-in. If you picked up your race packet the night before you may go directly to the start line upon arrival.

Parking will be available in the Holland Civic Center parking lot for free. Both the South and North parking lots will be available. The race route is a loop, so racers will start and end in the same location, making parking a breeze for participants. You are also welcome to park in any of the public parking lots Downtown Holland.

Do you have a racer you want to watch along the route? The route is open to spectators, so feel free to find your preferred spectating location. Please be mindful of our route, especially in areas when racers will be running on the sidewalk, and only cross at designated points.  Route Map

Only registered 5K and Mini Melt participants may partake in post-event goodies, keep your bib number handy.

Fortunately, the Snowmelt 5K takes place entirely on snowmelt, so cancellation of the event is highly unlikely. However, if weather is severe, the event may be delayed or canceled.  Start times may be delayed up to one hour. If threatening weather forces cancellation of the event, refunds will not be provided. Racers will be able to pick up their packets and finisher medal the week following at the Holland Parks & Recreation office, located at 429 E 24th Street.

We will have a clock for those who want to see their time, we will not have official results this year.

Strollers are welcome. We request those pushing strollers to line up at the back of the pack, to avoid congestion at the start and make it easier for those to pass in areas where sidewalks will be used for the route.

No. We love your furry friends, but because this race is partially on sidewalks and to help alleviate congestion we are not allowing dogs to participate in this 5K.

We will accept registrations up to our 500 racer capacity. If you want to guarantee your spot, make sure to register in advance.

Yes, there will be one hydration station located roughly 1.5 miles into the route.
